In 2011, I moved to Austin from the West Coast. One of the first things I did upon moving to Texas was to establish a yoga routine in my new life. The immediate spiritual and emotional benefits prompted me to enroll in a teacher training program where I earned my 200-hour Hatha certification from Yoga Yoga (a Registered Yoga Alliance School). I continue my education by attending workshops, classes, and reading yogic literature and news.
My classes are designed in a holistic manner by including opening and closing thoughts, centering techniques at the beginning of class, deep relaxation at the end of class, and chanting (I promise no one is required to chant!). It is important for me to check in with each student so that I can tailor the experience to their particular needs.
I believe yoga, in its essence, is simple, accessible, and deeply unique to each individual. I aim to create an environment where you feel supported and free to explore your practice.
